Just a brief post as I’ve been busy galavanting in the Land Of My Fathers.
Slightly miraculously for this time of year, the sun has been shining!
The misty-moistiness of Gloucestershire and old-knicker grey of Monmouth gave way to clear sparkly blue on the M4 near Cardiff.
There was a big rugby match on at the Millennium Stadium yesterday – Wales v South Africa – so the roof would definitely have been open allowing the Welsh voices to rise to the heavens.
A few images from the stroll through Singleton Park and Swansea Bay at sundown.

How divine…. I had just one memorable Christmas in Wales…. way too many years ago to count…. in Cardiff where my BFF was riding a bicycle around pretending she was auditioning for “Call the Midwife”… I was hoping for a white Christmas but it was the warmest December in a century… so I had to settle for a few pints at the local… and a tri to Beaumaris Castle… I grew up in Beaumaris 9 Victoria, Australia).
There’s lovely! 🙂 Beaumaris Castle is splendid, as ruined castles go.
I haven’t spent a Christmas in Wales since I was 8 but breakfast at Eddy’s at Llangennith is the *best* way to start the New Year 😉

trip…. not tri… shit.. I should proofread… especially after half a bottle of champers
*Half a bottle* !!! Gah. I was only allowed a third of a bottle yesterday at son’s birthday celebration. It’s tough having to share… 🙂
Looks like we were out and about and by water at the same time yesterday.
Autumn isn’t my favourite season, but it does do colour so well, doesn’t it?
Are any of these for your homework tasks?
Excellent! 😊 I need a beach, preferably Welsh, several times a year. A couple might be. Need to sort them out 😊
Oh yes, that Seasalter moment. I think it’s about living on an S’land. The sea s at our edges and we need to connect with it.
I couldn’t live in say Eastern France.
Me neither. I love Cumbria but I’d still need regular doses of *seaside* 🙂
