Dydd gwyl dewi hapus!
I’ve mostly been playing male voice choirs, Lost Prophets and Stereophonics today. I’m keeping the great Tom for the journey to work.
Just sharing a few pics of Wales taken last year. As usual, we’ve seen it in all weathers but it’s always special, always restorative.
Happy vowels in strange places Day, Jan. 🙂
Super snaps.
Forget the Great Tom, he’s not got a hip to compare with Cardiff’s own Shakin’ Stevens.
Greetings JW and may the Muse be with you (not forgetting to keep me posted with any bits of news about new album in 2012).
While Shaky was a force in his time, he will be forever wondering what lies behind the Green Door while Sir Tom has moved from pop to rock to soul to gospel, covering a vast panoply of music – and still has a great voice and an appetite for more.
Super pix Jan. Happy St Davids day to you too.
Thank Val – hope you’ve had a good day too 😀
Lovely pictures.
I have been tagged twice and you can blame Sarsm and Sideview…
and I’m inviting you to join in

Oooh what’s this tagging thing? I’m in, whatever but tomorrow, now 🙂
Hope you had a good St David’s day. Love the sheep and lambs. They took me back to childhood. My primary school was next door to a sheep farm.
Any Catatonia and Cerys Matthews?
Hi Isobel, yes fine thanks. I work with several Welsh people so there was a bit of hwyl even though we were all at work and in England. 😉
Heard Cerys on BBC6 Music the other day, actually, presenting. Making a bit of a hash of it to be honest. Yes I liked some of the Catatonia tracks but as Welsh divas go, she doesn’t compare to our Shirl and Katherine Jenkins.
Lovely! The lambs are particularly gorgeous. My friend has a mother who lambs in Wales…lovely business, if a little exhausting…
Hi Kate. I like the one with his head back in a kind of ovine sunny bliss.
