Meet lush puppy – a friend’s 14-week-old lemon cocker spaniel.

He’s a totally adorable bold, soft-mouthed little chap, probably to be named Charlie, although he answers to anything at the moment.

No luxury dog beds required – he’s happiest snoozing flat out in the dust under a bush.

I am at Cousin’s where in the wake of losing their dog the oohs of appreciation at Charlie’s picture may have reached you in Gloucs.

Is he the quiet sort of Cocker or the crazy sort?

Aw. Pleased to hear the photos are appreciated. He is all-round perfect puppy, Isobel. He doesn’t mouth or gnash with needly puppy teeth – he tries to lick your face and wags his tail and then potters off to investigate elsewhere. So far, the perfect gent too when it comes to toilet-training. Nil accidents.

So yes, definitely the quiet sort. My pal already has a working cocker, about 14 months now, who could be counted as crazy, as he has boundless energy and is either on the go or switched off. So I think the calmer puppy will be good for him. They already seem to be getting on really well. The older dog claims *all* the toys but that’s just him making clear to the pup that he is the boss.
πŸ™‚ As you might guess, I am exceptionally and madly jealous because he’s just the sort of pup that I would have like a shot if I wasn’t working full time…

So sweet isn’t it, the way that, in spite of interest in their surroundings, they just have to flop and slumber?! πŸ™‚
